Canadian Citizenship by Descent

Under Bill C-3, the Act to Amend the Citizenship Act (2025), individuals with a qualifying Canadian ancestor may be eligible for Canadian citizenship. Establishing this eligibility requires documented genealogical evidence — birth, marriage, death, census, immigration, and land records that prove your ancestor's Canadian residence and citizenship.
